I guess life or whatever passes for my life got the better of me. I have been busy knitting/crocheting up a relative storm lately. I finally finished a top down raglan sweater!!! Yay me!! Overall, I'm fairly happy with how it fits except that the neckline got all stretched out and stayed that way, even after washing. Lesson learned... go next size down for neckline... and use smaller needles for neckline...
In spite of the fact that I've been buying yarn lately, I've also been trying to use up the older parts of my stash (and, I'll probably end up sending at least some of it to my g/f in Indiana since she's short on yarn and I have so much...). I've been making hats like they're going out of style. I've made 3 so far (one for my b/f, who seems to really like that I went to the trouble of making it in the Bengals team colors). It's a really simple pattern that I found on Craftster (someone was asking a question about the pattern and I became inspired to give it a try after seeing the pic of the FO). Hand made hat
Also, I'm attempting to make a cardigan. God knows why because I really don't. I have a lot of Bernat Softee Chunky to use up so this is a stash busting effort on my part. Possibly because I have fond memories of a cardigan that I had growing up, hand knit but store bought and I wore it everywhere. I'm sort of basing it off the raglan pattern that I used for my sweater and I'm adding a button thing down the front. Thankfully, I have a picture in my head of what I want it to look like so.... it's not really complicated so hopefully, I'll have it done sometime in the next millennium or so.
As far as crocheting goes, I've been letting them cool off a little. I still have 3 afghans that need attention, plus a few other things that just aren't speaking to me loud enough to get my attention. I've been so focused on my knitting (now that I've successfully made a sweater that looks decent....) that that's pretty much all I've been doing. But, crochet is still my first love when it comes to crafting.
